Location.Built in 1911, the Edwardian Abode Glasgow is located in the historic art district of the city, 600 metres from George Square and one mile from the McLellan Galleries. Glasgow Airport is eight miles from the hotel, around 20 minutes by car.
Hotel Features. The Abode Glasgow offers a 24 hour front desk with a safe deposit box, all hours room service, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. There is wireless Internet access available in public areas and an informal caf� bar, while other practical amenities include dry cleaning services, a lift to all floors, concierge services for help booking tours and tickets, and parking available for those arriving by car (surcharge).
Michael Caines Restaurant serves modern cuisine created by the Michelin starred chef using fresh, local ingredients. There is also a family friendly caf� with an extensive � la carte menu including dishes such as Bangers and Mash and mixed grills.
Guestrooms.The hotel offers 60 air conditioned guestrooms located on three floors, which feature modern decor in natural tones with high ceilings and original features. Expert Tip. Art enthusiasts will find many of the city's most popular galleries within easy reach of the hotel, including the Burrell Collection, which contains works by Degas and Cezanne, housed in Pollok Country Park which is five miles away.

Getting there. The railway station in Paisley is two miles from the airport a few minutes away by taxi or ten minutes by bus. There are eight trains an hour from Monday to Saturday, and five trains an hour on Sundays from Paisley to Glasgow Central rail station, which is one mile from the hotel. Taxis are available 24 hours a day in front of the main terminal building, and fares to the hotel cost around 20 GBP. Shuttle buses also run to central Glasgow, and take about 20 minutes.
Driving directions. From Glasgow Airport follow the M8 towards the city centre. Cross Kingston Bridge and take the city centre sliproad on to Bothwell Street. Continue and turn left on to Hope Street. Bath Street is the fourth road on the right, and the hotel is 100 metres further on the right hand side.
