Galeon Playa is a collection of modern apartments overlooking the sandy beaches of Las Cucharas, one kilometre from the 18 hole golf course. The 175 contemporary apartments have light d�cor, colourful coordinated fabrics and simple furnishings. All have balconies with sea or pool views and kitchenettes with refrigerators, ovens, microwaves and kettles. Modern amenities include cable television, direct dial phones, safes, and bathrooms with handheld showers.
The restaurant Galeon Playa offers an a la carte menu as well as extensive buffets in a boat themed setting with magnificent views over the bay. Guests can lounge on the terraces next to the three swimming pools and escape the midday sun with refreshments from the poolside bar. Children are well catered for and can make use of the 350 square metre playground, a separate children's pool, a video games room and mini club with a timetable of organised activities. Adults also have an extensive choice of leisure activities, and can do an aerobics class or try their hand at French bowls; squash and volleyball courts are available onsite. Evening entertainment at the hotel's Atlantic Bar consists of professional shows, live music, and karaoke. The hotel also houses a complimentary Internet access area and staff at the 24 hour front desk can advise on local attractions. The hotel is located directly on the beach and offers a range of water sports and use of an onsite diving centre; golf enthusiasts can also practise their swing at the 18 hole course, one kilometre away. Guests can enjoy a fun day out at Aqua Park, also one kilometre away, and visit the Jardin de Cactus, ten kilometres away. Lanzarote Airport is 12 kilometres from the hotel.

Taxis are available at the airport and depart from taxi ranks next to Arrivals. A taxi to the hotel costs approximately 12 EUR. Buses operate to/from Arrecife Playa Honda bus station on bus no.4. The bus station is situated next to Arrivals. Alternatively, the hotel offers airport transportation for a fee. Efficient bus services connect the main resorts and operate until quite late, although a hire car is recommended for exploring less touristy areas.
